A driver was receiving oral sex at the wheel when he struck and killed a cyclist, according to multiple reports.

Randy Joe Allen, 54, allegedly hit Terry Lamunt Ross , 49, head-on with his Ford F-250 on U.S. Highway 92 in Auburndale, Florida, at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

His female passenger, whom he'd just met at a bar, felt a bump in the road as she performed the sex act, according to WFLA.

But Allen, from Polk City, told her he'd just hit a stop sign and carried on driving , WTSP reported.

A witness saw the incident, noted part of the driver's license plate and dialed 911, per the Orlando Sentinel, before returning to the scene on the highway shoulder to find the cyclist had died.

Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies traced Allen's pickup, the exterior of which was allegedly dented and splashed in blood, to Liquid Larry's Bar in Lakeland , the Miami Herald reported.

According to the affidavit cited by the Orlando Sentinel, Allen told investigators he was "distracted" by his passenger and hadn't seen what he'd hit. The unidentified woman said she had no reason not to believe him when he said it was the road sign that had been struck.

Allen, who deputies believe was drunk when they spoke to him at the bar, was arrested in connection with the alleged hit-and-run and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death , The Associated Press reported.
