Former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin slammed ESPN for firing Curt Schilling over an anti-LGBT post he shared on Facebook .

"ESPN continues to screw up," Palin said in a Facebook post Thursday, accompanied by an image with the same message as the one Schilling shared.

Schilling, who has made other controversial remarks that have gotten him previously suspended from the network, shared a meme mocking the transgender community on his Facebook page Monday. He followed that up with a blog post on Tuesday, addressing "all of you out there who are just dying to be offended."

"If you get offended by ANYTHING in this post, thats your fault, all yours," Schilling wrote.

ESPN announced it fired Schilling on Wednesday.
