Conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings didnt mince words when it came to Donald Trump s disastrous appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention on Wednesday.

He did crap the bed today, Jennings said. The only question is whether hes gonna roll around in it or get up and change the sheets.

Trump attacked the journalists hosting the event, claimed Vice President Kamala Harris happened to turn Black only a couple of years ago, and declared himself the best president for Black Americans since Abraham Lincoln, among other things.

But Jennings, who served as special assistant to President George W. Bush , said Trump deserves some points for even showing up at the event and urged the former president to listen to his campaign, which he said can tackle Harris on policy.
