Seth Meyers Rips Jeff Sessions For Halting His Donald Trump Party

Seth Meyers was all set to celebrate President Donald Trump getting “everything under control” on Thursday night.

The “Late Night ” host said he was preparing to give Trump some credit after he appeared to “reset the narrative” of his presidency with a measured address to Congress . Meyers even started blowing up a “Congratulations” balloon to mark the occasion.

But the party was postponed as news clips flashed with reports that Trump’s attorney general, Jeff Sessions , had met with Russian officials during the presidential campaign, despite telling the Senate Judiciary Committee, under oath, that he’d not had “communications with the Russians” during that time.

With the rapidly deflating balloon emitting a high-pitched squeal, Meyers feigned an astonished look.

“And we had fucking fireworks too,” he added.
