Seth Meyers was all set to celebrate President Donald Trump getting everything under control on Thursday night.

The Late Night host said he was preparing to give Trump some credit after he appeared to reset the narrative of his presidency with a measured address to Congress . Meyers even started blowing up a Congratulations balloon to mark the occasion.

But the party was postponed as news clips flashed with reports that Trumps attorney general, Jeff Sessions , had met with Russian officials during the presidential campaign, despite telling the Senate Judiciary Committee, under oath, that hed not had communications with the Russians during that time.
