Seth Meyers on Monday looked at the pattern thats now played out on multiple occasions in which Donald Trump says something offensive and then Republicans go on TV to beg him to focus on policy.

But theres no way those Republicans actually believe what theyre saying, said the Late Night comedian.

Thats because they know the former president and current GOP nominee just cant focus on policy and would have an easier time doing one of Simone Biles signature moves.
