Babies may be little balls of sunshine but most adults in their lives will attest that they toggle regularly between sour and sweet. A surefire way to usher in that sour mood in abundance? Disturbing their sleep patterns and schedules in even the slightest way. This is especially so when babies sleep away from their regular environment like overnights at a grandparents house or in a hotel for a family trip. Thankfully, according to loads of relieved parents and grandparents, the SlumberPod blackout crib tent is a tremendously impactful hack for helping kids get sweet sleep much faster. Reviewers are noting in droves that this beauty is worth every penny and, finally, its 20% off

If you know anything about children , then youre aware of the mostly unbendable rule: When they dont sleep, you dont sleep. Thats why so many parents and grands count on this tent to save the day. Considered an at-home and travel essential by several reviewers, this crib tent a Shark Tank product, by the way offers a blackout cover that helps create an ultra-dark environment for children to fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly. Its all thanks to a synthetic blend of down and wool material that blocks out 95% of the bright light that can render kids awake later (or earlier!) than you might like.

The crib tent is also designed with safety and peak comfort beyond light-blocking in mind. It features four adjustable ventilation panels, two pockets for a mini-fan (sold separately, depending on which one you grab) to support littles who sleep hot and a monitor pocket so you can always keep watch while they rest. The best part? This tent fits over most cribs and Pack n Plays so you dont have to buy a new one. Plus, itll come with a carrying case and two support poles for easy packing and setup.

Reviewers use it for children at home room-sharing with siblings, adjusting to a new schedule or having trouble sleeping overall. They also depend on the blackout crib tent for camping trips, overnights with family members, hotel stays and so many other regular life circumstances that can affect kids resting abilities.

A deep dive into the reviews also reveals several adults noting what a lifesaver this blackout crib tent is thanks to how it helps save trips, sleep and sanity . That mental health mention isnt hyperbole HuffPost has long reported on the physical and mental costs associated with bad sleep habits.

Check out what reviewers say about how this blackout crib tent pays it forward in more ways than one.

This has been a lifesaver for traveling and trips to the grandparents. Loved how dark it made the playpen area. It creates perfect sleeping conditions if you use a sound machine and a portable fan. Also set it up before you travel so youll know what you need to make everything work the way you need Placeholder

I bought this for my grand child and love it. Previously, it was fun using pillows and blankets to create a dark room and required prior planning. Now its easy!! No more wishing for better black out curtains or worrying about traveling. EJ

THIS IS THE BEST INVENTION IN EXISTENCE! The SlumberPod is like a soft, good quality tent made from the best shirt money can buy. We are living in a small room with two skylights with out 3 year old and 6 month old, and that thing has saved my sanity! It creates a dark space on bright days, and stops my baby from waking up at the butt crack of dawn! It also was amazing to use while travelling, it kept that baby asleep for way longer than she would have normally. It make put together like a wonky tent, but its still easy to do! It may be an eensy, teensy bit sheer, but who cares! Its not like the mesh shirts yuppies wore in the 90s! I will still recommend this product to every person I know! And if they come out with one that covers a king size bed, imma be gettin one for myself! Sammy C.

A must for parents sharing a room with a baby! This is the best infant product ever! When the sun doesnt set until 9pm and rises at 5am, you need your baby to sleep. When blackout curtains on our 5 bedroom windows was out of the question, I did some research. Im so happy that I came across this product. Our little one loves sleeping in it, and is neither too hot nor too cold at night. It definitely has saved my sanity! C. Graves

This product was gifted to me, and I have not used it for travel. My 11-month-old has never been a good sleeper, he wakes on average three times a night. Hes not hungry, but we would give him a bottle just to get him back down in under an hour, night feeds havent been necessary for a while, but it was a comfort for him. We have tried every sleep training method we could find, cry-it-out, the chair method, pick up put down, Ferber, etc. We even were entertaining the idea of doing the Batelle sleep school (with a hefty price tag $1,500!?).Then my superhero sister set up the slumberpod for me while we were visiting. THIS THING IS MAGIC. I was unsure about every day use, since its supposed to be for travel. However, my child slept through the night on night one. Night two he woke twice, but went back down without a huge fight and within 30 minutes. We are used to 3+ hours of crying to the point of him getting so worked up he gets sick. Night three and four - slept through. He had never slept through the night twice in a row... If you are at your wits end, I would strongly suggest this as an option. It has saved our sanity. It is worth every red cent. I wish we would have found it sooner! Margaret Wahl  [Note: This post has been condensed for length. Read the full review here .]

LOVED THIS PRODUCT!! We decided to go camping for Memorial Day Weekend with our 8 week old and it was worth every penny. It was easy to set up, we put it over the traveling crib inside the tent and she slept so good. Highly recommend for camping or any form of traveling with a baby. Nancy

...We used it along with the Merlin sleep suit last night in grandparents office and we got our first solid 12 hour night! Wahoo. The room has absolutely no curtains in it so its all slumber pod for blackout. Much easier than having to cover all the windows.
It really is blackout inside and has a pocket for the baby monitor and also a sound machine! Highly recommend. Should be on ALL baby registries!! RooMonkeyDoo
