“Saturday Night Live ” went all “Love Actually ” for a politically charged holiday-themed skit this weekend.
In an homage to the 2003 British movie’s classic “To Me, You’re Perfect ” scene in which Andrew Lincoln’s character holds up cards to declare his unrequited love for Keira Knightley’s Juliet Kate McKinnon , playing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton , tried to win over an elector.
McKinnon-as-Clinton held up a seemingly never-ending set of cards to appeal to elector Cecily Strong and convince her to vote for anyone but President-elect Donald Trump when the Electoral College casts its votes Monday.
”You’re supposed to vote for Donald Trump ,” reads one of the cards, which is subsequently followed by ones saying “But Bish” and “He Cray.”
