Even though it’s barely fall (we see you, pumpkin spice), data shows it’s already time to start thinking about next year — and more specifically, where you’ll watch the ball drop and count down to 2017. Luckily for you, travel search engine Kayak.com has just released its Travel Hacker Guide for the 2016 holiday season, noting ten trending cities around the world for New Year’s celebrations. Go for: Prince’s Paisley Park , the iconic Guthrie, gnocchi from The Bachelor Farmer
46 percent increase in flight searches compared to previous New Year’s Eve
2. Guadalajara, Mexico
Go for: Modernist mansions , a chili pepper saucesoaked pork torta ahogada , murals of everyone from Diego Rivera to Frida Kahlo
51 percent increase in flight searches compared to previous New Year's Eve
3. Lima, Peru
Go for: MATE Museo Mario Testino, sprawling city markets, the pale pink Convento Santo Domingo
52 percent increase in flight searches compared to previous New Year's Eve
4. Amsterdam
Go for: Canals, Museumplein — one of the continent’s most concentrated pockets of world-class art — and heading out to sea
