We had no idea how much we missed our '80s braided headbands until we spotted Marlies Bauer sporting a modern version. The acting student looked effortlessly cool with her brown locks flowing underneath the hair accessory. And we wouldn't have guessed that Bauer struggles with thinning hair if she hadn't told us.

Pulling her headband over her hair creates the illusion of thicker strands . But Bauer also swears by Biota Botanicals, a herbal shampoo formulated specifically for thinning hair, to pump up the volume .
