Several models of color ditched the hot combs, weaves and extensions to flawlessly rock their natural tresses as they strutted down the runway.

Jourdana Phillips sported her fierce blond cut; Harieth Paul rocked her teeny weeny Afro; Alanna Arrington let her loose curls hang; and Maria Borges wore her Afro for the second consecutive year while sporting a beautiful outfit which served as her “love letter to my beloved continent, Africa .”

Borges, born in Angola, made history last year  by becoming the first Victoria’s Secret model to wear her ‘fro in the show. Seeing even more ladies flaunt their hair in its natural state isn’t just good for creating a more diverse fashion landscape, it’s downright empowering.
