The former GOP presidential candidate said her decision to support Trump is "based on substance."
The progressive senator applauded the former vice president and ex-congresswoman for their endorsements of Kamala Harris.
During an interview on ABC's "This Week," the former congresswoman also said Trump's policies make it hard to even call him a true conservative.
As one person put it, "How awful is Donald Trump? Dick Cheney is voting for his opponent who is a female Democrat. Thats how awful he is."
WHAT'S HAPPENING
The former vice president has called Donald Trump the greatest threat to the American republic in history.
The New York Times reporter also spelled out the signal that Cheney's endorsement is sending to other Republicans who may want to dump Trump in the 2024 election.
"I don't believe that we have the luxury of writing in candidates' names particularly in swing states," warned Cheney, a top Republican critic of Trump.
The former GOP lawmaker called the former president's latest move proof he's "not a stable adult."
The former congresswoman is definitely not a Trumper, but she might be a Swiftie.
"It cannot be that a president of the United States can attempt to steal an election and seize power but our justice system is incapable of bringing him to trial," she wrote.
