Fotios Freddy Geas was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday after pleading guilty to the fatal bludgeoning of notorious Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger.
The 89-year-old gangster, who at one point served as an FBI informant, was beaten to death after his transfer to a troubled West Virginia prison in 2018.
The charges against Fotios Freddy Geas, Paul J. DeCologero and Sean McKinnon come nearly four years after Bulgers killing.
