Less than 48 hours after engulfing a tent camp in flames and killing dozens of Palestinians, Israeli forces bombed another designated humanitarian zone.
Two U.S. officials spoke anonymously to The Associated Press to discuss an operation that hadnt yet been publicly announced.
The assault began Thursday evening. HuffPost first reported that the Biden administration had conveyed its decision to Congress earlier in the day.

Journalist Wael Dahdouh lost his wife, son, daughter and grandson in an attack on a refugee camp in the Palestinian territory.
The U.S. military did not identify the targets nor offer any casualty figures from the strikes.

The Palestinian American congresswoman said the president must do more to protect civilians. At least 218 Palestinians have died so far in Israeli attacks.
