The country artist, who is half of the Brothers Osborne, said he'd come to accept there would be no "perfect moment" to share his true self with the public.
The singer, who is half of the Brothers Osborne, said he hoped the moment would "show people that they also dont need to hide."

A Republican lawmaker blocked a bill to honor Brothers Osborne singer T.J. Osborne, who is gay.
Tennessee Rep. Jeremy Faison expressed "some concerns" about congratulating T.J. Osborne of the Brothers Osborne, who came out as gay in February.
The country artist told Ellen DeGeneres he wishes he'd begun living his truth sooner, and is hopeful to see how the news plays out among conservative fans.
The singer, who is half of the Brothers Osborne, tells Time magazine, "I want to get to the height of my career being completely who I am."
Eric Church, Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne also honored the victims from the Manchester bombing.
