Curtis Flowers
Doug Evans is stepping down Friday, six months before his term ends.
The district attorney sought to exclude Black jurors from Curtis Flowers' six trials for killings he always maintained he didn't commit.
Flowers was wrongly convicted of killing four people in 1996. The U.S. Supreme Court tossed out his conviction and death sentence in June 2019.
The Mississippi man's case was featured on the groundbreaking podcast "In the Dark."
