The "General Hospital" actor died early Saturday morning.
The actor also appeared in Army Wives, Westworld, Siberia and Criminal Minds.
The Riverside County Sheriffs Office reported that Bernard was found in an open field behind a business.
He died of a cardiac event, one of his co-stars confirmed.
