The dogs, previously slated to be killed, will now be sent to the Michigan Humane Society.
Corteva Agriscience said it will make every effort to rehome the animals after a Humane Society undercover investigation revealed sickening practices.
The company behind the tests said "there are better ways to attain the data needed" but that it will continue doing them.
"Giraffes are strikingly beautiful animals .... Unfortunately, that beauty has also made them a 'new exotic,'" The Humane Society of the United States says.

His action comes a day after several board members quit in protest over a vote to keep him in place.
