The 85-year-old actor has finally chimed in after it was announced in May that two new "Lord of the Rings" films are being made and scheduled for 2026.
The "Hobbit" actor took a tumble offstage while performing a battle scene in Player Kings at the Noel Coward Theatre in London.
In a statement, the 85-year-old star said he taking a pause on work to "protect" himself and make a "full recovery."
Following a scan, the brilliant NHS team have assured us that he will make a speedy and full recovery and Ian is in good spirits.
