Its going to be a tough couple of days for us, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu said.
Mayors of more than 1,400 cities passed resolutions this week supporting a transition to 100 percent renewable energy and other climate initiatives.
The failure to acknowledge our past goes well beyond New Orleans and Louisiana, as racial injustice continues to reside in virtually every aspect of American life.
"We will take a closer look at how we go about following in the footsteps of New Orleans."
