A New York-based museum is reexamining bold acts of the past, such as barrel trips and tightrope walks near the famed falls.
Before Fox walked the report back, anchor John Roberts said its unclear how long the people who perpetrated this attack have been in America.
Two people were killed in the incident along the U.S.-Canada border on Wednesday.
Investigators said Thursday they believe the woman intentionally drove into the river above the falls, getting stuck about 100 feet from the brink.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
The iron scow has been lodged near the top of Horseshoe Falls since 1918.
Only a few people have survived the 167-foot plunge.
