Asante McGee, Lisa Van Allen and Lizette Martinez helped Lifetime's Brie Miranda Bryant accept the award for Best Documentary.
Kitti Jones, Asante McGee and Lisa Van Allen, three of the women featured in "Surviving R. Kelly," expressed gratitude that they have been "heard and believed."
Lanita Carter, the singers former hairdresser, is among the four accusers involved in the 10 counts against Kelly of aggravated criminal sexual abuse last month.
Several of the women featured in Lifetime's "Surviving R. Kelly" said they had to turn off the TV during Kelly's interview with King.
After years of allegations, R. Kelly has been charged with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse.
The executive producer told NPR that criticism of survivors who don't go to the police "confounds" her.
