WHAT'S HAPPENING
The Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., had blocked off room bookings during inauguration week, but finally released them.
The demonstrators said they wanted to let the president know that "most of the country believes in science."
Lev Parnas said GOP figures and Trump insiders would mingle with some unusual characters at the president's Washington hotel.
The move is partly motivated by criticism that Trump is profiting off the hotel in violation of ethics laws and the Constitution.
The hotel occupies a federally owned building and has become a hot spot for lobbyists, foreign governments and others to put money in the president's pocket.
The attorney general booked the Trump property in Washington, D.C., for a 200-person holiday party, according to The Washington Post.
