Homicide team investigates 'suspicious' death after Surrey car accident
Police say fatal injuries were 'inconsistent' with a car crash
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is looking into a suspicious death followinga car accident in Surrey Friday evening.
The accident happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 7900 block of 123A street in Newton, a residential area.
When Surrey RCMParrived on scene, theyfound a man suffering from injuries they say were"inconsistent" with a car crash. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
The man was taken to hospital, but dieda short time later. IHITwas called in to take over the probe.
IHIT will be on scene at 79th ave and 123 St @surreyrcmp for several hours after a suspicious death at a car crash.

"We are in the evidence gathering stage at this time and expect to have the area closed off to public access for several hours,"saidSgt.StephanieAshtonofIHIT, in a statement.
