Jurassic World trailer offers surprise preview for fans

Action and adventure movie fans are gorging on the first Jurassic World trailer, which Universal Picturesreleased on Tuesday two days ahead of its planned U.S. Thanksgiving Day premiere.

The move caught fans by surprise, because the studio had just released a20-second teaser trailer on Monday.

"Im really proud of you for going on this trip," saysJudy Greer's character, who appears to be sendingher young son off to Jurassic World the fully functioning dinosaur theme park dreamed up by John Hammond earlier in the series.

"Youre going to have so much fun," she saysominously.

Jurassic Worldpicks up 22 years after the events of the firstJurassic Park,but this time somethe prehistoric beasts have been genetically modified to create hybrids in an attempt to draw more dinosaur-lovingcrowds.

"Weve learned more in the past decade of genetics than a century of digging up bones,"boasts a lab-coat-wearing Bryce Dallas Howard in the trailer, "awhole new frontier has opened up."

Giant hybrid lizards may make money, but they're"probably not a good idea" warnsGuardians of the Galaxy'sChris Pratt, who stars as themore conservative-mindedpark keeper, Owen.

Jurassic World is the fourth film in thefranchise, which has grossed $1.9 billion US worldwide since the firstreleasein 1993.

It stomps into theatres in 3D on June 12, 2015.
