Police charge 4th person in connection with Douglasdale death

Investigators have charged a fourth person in connection with the death of a Calgary man whose body was discovered after a house fire in a southeast neighbourhood.

Policehave charged a fourth person inthe death of a Calgary man whose body was discovered after a house fire in thesoutheast community of Douglasdale in February.

Investigators said Thursdaytheyhave charged Justin Alan Urban, 32, with first-degree murder.

ChadKowalchuk, 53,was found after firefighters responded to a residence in the southeast neighbourhood of Douglasdaleon Feb.18. The discovery sparked what police called a complex investigation.

Earlier this month,Kowalchuk's family issued a public plea for people to come forward with any information about his death. They described the man as a "fun-loving and caring person."

Urban now joins three others charged in connection to the death.

Last month, policearrested JustinAngus Boucher, 30, of Calgary. He faces first-degree murder and arson charges.

Ronald Leon Abraham, 41, of Calgary, was arrested this monthand charged with first-degree murder. Robert Wayne Sims, 30, was arrested last week in B.C. on a Canada-wide warrant and charged with first-degree murder.
