Two men with links to neo-Nazis have been charged in connection to the murder of a man in Calgary last October, police announced on Wednesday.

Mark Mariani, 47, was found dead on the morning of Oct. 3, 2010.

Police believe the man was beaten in the alley behind a strip mall at the corner of 16th Avenue and 15th Street N.W. before collapsing at his car in a parking lot.

Last month Crime Stoppers re-enacted the attack in the hopes of finding new leads.

On Tuesday Robert David Reitmeier, 24, was arrested in Calgary. Tyler William Sturrup, 26 was arrested in Edmonton the same day, police said.

Both men are from Calgary and face second-degree murder charges.

At the time of Mariani's death, police said they believed there was a third attacker.

Police confirmed both men are connected to neo-Nazi groups. But they said that was not a motive for the crime, which they said was random.

Reitmeier and Sturrup will make initial court appearances on June 8.
