Tuxedo Park arrests connected to violent carjacking at Market Mall
Multiple arrests, several charges as police conduct take down in northeast Calgary motorhome
Calgary policemade severalarrestsin a string of alleged crimes they believe areconnectedto a violentcarjacking last weekend at Market Mall.

Three Calgary men are facing multiple charges and more could be on the way, saidpolice onThursday.
Police say the arrests were made after an investigation intoa carjacking last Friday in the Market Mall parking lot. A woman was sitting in her silver 2003 Chevrolet Venture van when a man approached herwith a gun around9:30 p.m.
The man took off in the van with the victim's purse and ID. A stolen red Ford Taurus car left the scene and police believethey were working together.
TheFord Taurus was recovered early Saturday morning in a southwest Calgary community. Later that day, police responded to a bank machine break-in a few blocks away and found the registration of the stolen 2003 Chevrolet Venture van.
The van itself was found early Monday at an intersection in a northwest community. A man was taken into custody at the scene.
Charges laid
A 36-year-old Calgary man has beencharged with possession of stolen goods and drugs. He was released with a promise to appear in court Thursday.
Police allege after his release he assaulted an employee while committing theft at a liquor store in Falconridge DriveN.E. He was arrestednearby and charged with additional offences.
The investigation led police to a motorhome near a house in the northeast community of Tuxedo Park Wednesday afternoon.
Three men were taken into custody and two have been charged.
A 30-year-old Calgary man is facing various firearm charges, and will appear in court Friday, and a 39-year-old man was arrested on unrelated warrants.
Police continue to look for evidence to lay charges directly related to the Market Mallcarjacking.
