Friends of a Calgary teenager are mourning his death after he was stabbed to death Saturday morning at a Braeside house party.

Juliano Vieira was a Grade 11 student at Henry Wisewood High School. Those who knew the teen say he wasfriendly and peaceful and that something like this shouldn't have happened to him.

"He made everyone feel good. He wasn't one of those guys that bothered anyone," said Gary Sarkar, a friend of Vieira. "He was a really good guy and he didn't deserve this."

Vieira'sfriends quickly began sharing the news and their grief on Twitter.

One user described Vieira as his best friend and shared the teen's final words.

Police are still investigating what happened at the party, which attendees say was in celebration of several recent and upcoming birthdays among a group of friends.

However, things apparently turned violent when an uninvited group of people showed up.

"I just think it's a real shame," said Adam Whitmore, a friend of the homeowner throwing the party. "I don't think anything has to get that out of hand. We [were] all just having fun and when the fighting was starting, we were trying to calm everybody down but it was just that one group of guys. They just couldn't let it go."

More than 60 questioned

Police loaded more than 60 witnesses from the party onto a bus and brought themto headquarters for questioning.

Investigators have not confirmed what started the fight, but Whitmore says it began after the homeowner tried to get people to leave the house after one girl claimed her car had been stolen.

It's not known yet how many people were involved in the stabbing but police say they have no suspects in custody at this time.

More information is expected to be released following an autopsy on Monday.
