Skier killed at Lake Louise near Glacier chairlift

Lake Louise Ski Resort staff tried in vain to resuscitate the 34-year-old man, who was found in a treed area on the lower half of the front side of the mountain, near the Glacier chairlift.

RCMP are investigating after a34-year-old man was killed at Lake Louise Ski Resorton Sunday.

Lake Louise Ski Resort spokesman Dan Markham said the accident happened on the lower half of the front side of the mountain,near the Glacier chairlift.

The victim is believed to be from Rocky Mountain House, Alta.

Markhamsaid the skier was found in a treed areabut officials don'tknow if he collided with one.

Resuscitationefforts were made but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
