The townsite of Redwood Meadows, Alta., is under a boil water advisory after officials discovered there was a pressure loss in the area's water distribution system.

According to a Tuesday afternoon release by Indigenous Services Canada, there could be microbial contamination that may cause illness.

Residents ofTsuut'ina Nation are being asked to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming.

Water should be boiled before:

  • Making infant formula or juice.
