Townsite of Redwood Meadows under boil water advisory
Tsuut'ina Nation residents told to boil contaminated water until further notice
The townsite of Redwood Meadows, Alta., is under a boil water advisory after officials discovered there was a pressure loss in the area's water distribution system.
According to a Tuesday afternoon release by Indigenous Services Canada,there could be microbial contamination that may cause illness.
Residents ofTsuut'ina Nation are being asked to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming.
Water should be boiled before:
- Drinking.
- Making infant formula or juice.
- Brushing teeth.
- Washing fruits and vegetables.
- Making ice.
Officials said boiling the water will destroy any microorganisms lurking in the liquid.
