Stephen Avenue shooting, apparent abduction connected: Calgary police
2 people in hospital after shooting downtown Thursday night
Calgary police feel "very confident" that there isa connection between a shooting last night on Stephen Avenue and an apparent abduction on Wednesday night in the exact same area.

Two vehiclesa Dodge Calibre and a Chevy Cruze are believed to have been involved in both, and the incidents are believed to be drug related.
A man and woman, both in their 20s,were taken to hospital after they were shot on Thursday nightin the 200 block of Stephen Avenueby someone in a vehicle that took off right after.
Police were able to track down aCalibre and Cruze. Two people who have a history with policeare in custody and are considered persons of interest.
Video released
Just 24 hours earlier, in the same area, aman was seen being forced into aChevy Cruze.
Video from a nearby taxi shows aman from a Dodge Calibreblocking traffic so the Cruze could get away.
No charges have been laid but Insp. Rob Davidson with the major crimes section of the Calgary police says investigators believe the two persons of interest are responsible for other recent violent crimes in the city.
"If you're going to be out in the city doing these activities we will find you, we will arrest you and we will catch you," saidInsp. Rob Davidson.
Police still have not identified the man who may have been abducted on Wednesday night, and nobody matching his description has been reported missing.
Both the man and the woman from the shootingwere taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
