Taber man's body found after weekend swimming incident

The body of a Taber man was recovered Monday afternoon after he vanished Sunday while swimming with family members, RCMP said in a release.

The body of a Taber man was recovered Monday afternoon after he vanished Sundaywhile swimming with family members, RCMP said in a release.

The man and three siblings were swimming near the Municipal District of Taber Park when the 33-year-old climbed a pillar and jumped into the water.

Members of Taber fire, RCMP, EMS and Lethbridge fire searched for the man unsuccessfully. His body was located Monday around noon.

The death is not considered suspicious and police say they won't be releasing his name.
