Woman critically injured in northwest Calgary collision
Woman struck by vehicle at intersection in community of Sherwood
A pedestrianwas taken to hospital in critical condition early Tuesday morning after she was struck by a vehicle in the northwest Calgary community of Sherwood.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Sherwood Boulevard and Sherwood Point N.W. at about 6:30 a.m., police say.
A 24-year-old woman had been hit by a Honda CRV while she was walking her dog and crossing the street at the unmarked intersection.
Shewas taken to theFoothills Medical Centre suffering from life-threatening internal injuries, saidEMS spokesman Adam Loria.
There were no other injuries.
