Another cold day in Hamilton and we've got snow on the way. There's a wind chill warning in effect for the city, so it feels like -28 C for your walk to work this morning! Here's the traffic, weather and news you'll need in for your Friday (TGIF!)

Another cold day in Hamilton and we've got snow on the way. A wind chill warning in effect for the city it feels like -28 C for your walk to work this morning. Brrrr. A hat, gloves and boots are a must!

For snow lovers, we've got a nice sprinkling expected starting later this afternoon and continuing tomorrow. Any kids out there who love tobogganing? Ask mom and dad to get the sled out now so you're ready for tomorrow.

A reminder to pay close attention to your car in the cold weather. CAA recommends keeping the gas tank half-full and checking your tire pressure regularly.

No issues on GO Transit from Hamilton so far this morning.

Another two-car collision on the QEW Toronto-bound on the Skyway Bridge. There are now cars in the shoulder on both sides. That's slowing down traffic quite a bit on the upside of the bridge.

The 403 around that earlier crash east of Highway 6 is also backed-up.

In town, the main downtown arteries are starting to get a bit clogged. John Street coming off the Jolley Cut and James at the base of the West 5th access until Main Street are moving slowly.

At 8 a.m.:

On the 403 eastbound just east of Highway 6, a two-car collision is blocking the left lane. No injuries.

On the QEW Toronto-bound on the upside of the Burlington Skyway, a two-car collision is blocking the left lane. No injuries.

Local highways are moving well.

In town, Barton Street from Gage to James is moving slowly this hour.

A wind chill warning is in effect for Hamilton and the surrounding area. It's -19 C before the windchill, and feels like -28 C.

Today's high is -11 C, with a mix of sun and cloud. But the wind chill will stick it's expected to feel like - 32 C today. A 30 per cent chance of flurries starting in the afternoon.

Overnight, about 5 cm of snow should accumulate, and we're in store for a bit of a warm-up. The temperature early Saturday is projected at a balmy -6 C.

Saturday, more snow ending in the afternoon. Watch out if you're planning to drive tomorrow we'll also have some strong winds and blowing snow. A high of of -11 C.

McMaster University has suspended an engineering student group over a songbook containing what the university calls sexist, violent and degrading material.

The songbook contains around 25 cheers and includes multiple references to violent rape, murder, incest, bestiality and sex with underage females. It is also rife with misogynistic and homophobic slurs.

It is not clear when the songbook was created, but itsforeword suggests the students who compiled it were set to graduate in 2010.

A handful of city councillors want to appoint former mayor Bob Morrow to replace Coun. Bernie Morelli, who died last week. But not everyone thinks the veteran politician should be the only option.

Morrow was the longest-serving mayor of the former city of Hamilton, and is qualified for the job and respected in the community, Coun. Sam Merulla said.

Merulla plans to introduce a motion in February to appoint Morrow to the vacant Ward 3 council seat.

How about an escape from the snow? You don't even have to leave your computer.

The Royal Norwegian Air Force strapped a camera inside one of their planes and flew over Lofoten, an archipelago near the Arctic Circle. Just beautiful.
