Thelma Krull's disappearance has police stumped
Sometimes the most seemingly minor information 'can be the crumb that leads ... to an outcome'
The Winnipeg police homicide unit is taking the lead on the investigation into the disappearance of Thelma Krull, who has not been seen since she went on a hike July 11.
That unit also has more resources to dedicate to the investigation, "but at the end of the day, we'restill treating it as a missing person [case]," he said.
The police once again pleaded with the public for their assistance in the investigation, with Hofley urging "anyone with any information" to come forward.
Sometimes the most seemingly minor information "can bethe crumb that leads [investigators] to an outcome," he said. "We're grasping at straws."
The public has been asked tocheck their properties for anything suspicious and reviewsurveillance footage if they have security cameras.

Krull was last seen on the morning ofJuly 11, when she said she was going for a walk in the north part ofTranscona.
On Wednesday, police released security footage from a home in the HarbourviewSouth area that shows Krull walking by just before 7:30 a.m.
On Friday, police released animage of two people who were cycling in the area around thesame time. Investigators do not believe theyare suspects but want to identify and speak with them to determine if they might have seen anything.
"We would welcome hearing from anyone who was in that area Saturday morning playing tennis, walking or going for a jog on the off chance you saw something that could help further this investigation," Hofley said.
Earlier this week, investigators found Krull's eyeglasses nearthe Valley Gardens Community Centre.
The union representing Winnipeg Transit workersisoffering a $5,000 reward for information that helps investigators locate Krull. Her husband, Robert,has workedas a bus driversince 2007.
Krull isdescribed as 5-4", 170 pounds, withshort dyed blonde hair with a purple streak.She was last seen wearing black capri style pants, a reddish-orange shirt, hiking boots and glasses.
