Debra Arbec to co-moderate English-language leaders' debate

CBC Montreal anchor Debra Arbec will co-moderate the Sept. 17 debate alongside CTV's Mutsumi Takahashi. The event will be hosted by Global's Jamie Orchard.

Montreal media team up for Sept. 17 event

The debate will be moderated by CBC's Debra Arbec and CTV's Mutsumi Takahashi, and hosted by Global's Jamie Orchard.

The first-ever televised provincial leaders' debate in English takes place Sept. 17 and CBCMontreal anchor Debra Arbecwill be asking the questions that matter to you.

Arbec will co-moderate the debate alongside CTV's MutsumiTakahashi. The event will be hosted by Global's Jamie Orchard.

All three stations did a call-out for questions from the public and will be asking them throughout the 90 minute event.

Participants include Liberal Premier Philippe Couillard, Coalition Avenir Qubec Leader Franois Legault, Parti Qubcois leader Jean-Francois Lise and Qubec Solidaire spokesperson Manon Mass

The debate begins at 5:30 p.m. onCBCTelevision's main network andCBCRadio One in Quebec.

Journalists from major English-language media outlets will fact-checkthe leaders' statements in real time during the event.

This will be the second English-language leaders' debate in Quebec history. The first was a radio-only matchupin 1985 between Liberal leader Robert Bourassa and PQ leader Pierre-Marc Johnson.
