Quebec Crown prosecutor working on Michael Applebaum, MUHC cases resigns
Marie-Hlne Giroux announced her decision earlier this week, Crown spokesperson says
A Crown prosecutor involved in legal proceedings against former mayor Michael Applebaum and several parties involved in the MUHC fraud casehas resigned.

Crown spokespersonJean-Pascal Boucher saysMarie-HlneGiroux gave her resignationon Oct. 26.
Boucher says she is leavingfor personal reasons and on good terms.
He says the resignation will not affect the cases Giroux has been working on asshe was part of a team that shared all relevant information.
Boucher could not say when her final day would be.
Applebaumis facing 14 charges including fraud, conspiracy and breach of trust.
Thecharges are related to events that arealleged to have happened duringhis timeas borough mayor ofCte-des-NeigesNotre-Dame-de-Grce.
