An exclusive look inside the red zone nearly one year after the disaster. (Note: no audio)

Nearly one year ago, a freight train loaded with oil derailed and exploded in the core of Lac-Mgantic, Que. The area closest to the blast site, known as the "red-zone," has remained off-limits for months because of the hazards and a criminal investigation.

Lac-Mgantic's original core is gone, and anew downtown is rising adjacentto the disaster area where a stretch of businesses once stood.

This Radio-Canada exclusive video, taken with a drone camera, shows the site of the disaster and the rebuilding efforts one year later.
