A preliminary inquiry is set for four days in July for the two people accused of killing Saint Marys student Loretta Saunders.

Victoria Henneberry, 28, and Blake Leggette, 25, are charged with first-degree murder. A judge on Tuesday set aside July 21 to July 24 for their preliminary inquiry.

Saunders, 26, disappeared Feb. 13. Her body was found on the median of Route 2 near Salisbury, N.B., nearly two weeks after she went missing.

Saunders was Inuk and her death has renewed calls for a national inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women.
