A slew ofNova Scotians will bevying for Juno awards, including Skratch Bastid,Mo KenneyandJoelPlaskett.

The list of nominees was released Tuesday.

Halifax'sRia Mae's singleClothes Offwill be going up againstsinger-songwriterAlessiaCara,R&B singer TheWeeknd, rap superstar Drake, and popphenomJustinBieberin the single of the year category.

TheAfiara Quartet and Skratch Bastid's album Spin Cycleis recognized in the instrumental album of the year category.

Singer-songwriters Plaskettand Kenneyare both nominated for adult alternative album of the year for the Park Avenue Sobriety Test and In My Dreams respectively.

J.P. Cormier's album The Chanceand Old Man Luedecke'sDomestic Eccentricare bothnominated for traditional roots album of the year.

For the jazz album ofthe year group,theJerryGranelliTrio is recognized forWhat I Hear Now.

ProducerHenry "Cirkut" Walter is nominated for the Jack Richardson producer of the year award.

Jeff Reilly, along withAndrea Ludwig, Charles Daniels, John Potter, and Suzie Leblanc, has been nominated in the classical album category forPeter-Anthony Togni: Responsio.

The 2016 Juno Awards take place in Calgary, with a week of JunoFest celebrations set for March 28 through April 3.
