Ottawa man charged with murder for 2023 infant death
An Ottawa man has been charged with second degree murder and failing to provide the necessaries of life, sixteen months after the death of an infant.
The charges follow a lengthy homicide investigation
Ottawa police have charged a 30-year-old Ottawa man with second degree murder overthe death of a four-month-old infant girl on May 6, 2023.
Following a 16-month investigation, police also charged the man, Ahmed Mashkor, with failing to provide thenecessaries of life.
The death occurred at a residence on Genest Street in the city's Vanier neighbourhood.
