Turn off Netflix, the sun is on the way for P.E.I.

If you think the weather has stunk on P.E.I. this month, you're right

So far June has been a good month for binge-watching television series, but the forecast says there is beach weather on the way.

Pleasant weather was forecast for June by both Environment Canada and Accuweather. If that's going to happen the sunshine has a lot of catching up to do.

As we passed the middle of June, there were only four days in the month without rain, and three that reached the average June maximum of 19 C.

But the forecast is for a big change. Mainly sunny Friday, then four days of solid sunshine. Three of those days, Sunday through Tuesday, temperatures are expected to hit 25 C.

There is not a drop of rain in the forecast until Thursday.

The average temperature for the first half of June was just 15 C, so in order to hit the seasonal average the rest of the month will have to average 23 C.

Here's hoping.
