Wanted: snow angels. Stratford is looking for residents willing to help outneighbours with snow removal this winter.

Snow angels can sign up for the town'snew program if they have a little extra time, a shovel or a snowblower. The town will match them with seniors and residents with disabilities or illness who need occasional help.

"A lot of folks in our community can keep up with the day-to-day snow or flurries that happen, but those big storms that come in you know if you're a senior or someone who has mobility issues, that might be a little bit out of your range," said Wendy Watts, the town's community engagement co-ordinator.

No money is to be exchanged and there are no fees whatsoever.Watts said it's simplya good opportunity to get out and be mindful of neighbours.

"Especially if we get one of these heavy snowfalls like we had last year," she added.

Iif the Angels program proves successful, Stratford may introducesimilar ones for eachseason for example, helping people with lawncare in summer or raking autumn leaves.
