On Dec. 24, 1988, the CBC News: Compass crew decided to have a little fun.
In an homage to the poem A Visit from St. Nicholas (more commonly knows as The Night Before Christmas), the team put together a mock television story depicting Christmas Eve in the newsroom.
'Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the station
Compass was taking
The pulse of the nation
