Summerside hoping to attract immigrant entrepreneurs

A new staff position will be opening up inSummerside, P.E.I., with the goal of making better connections with the Island'simmigrant business community.

The job will be with the PEI Connectors Program, an initiative delivered through the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce that helps immigrant entrepreneurs set up shop.

"I'm excited about the opportunity for business people who are looking to set up businesses that may look atSummersideas an opportunity," said SummersideDeputy Mayor Brent Gallant. "It's going to be good for this whole area.

The new staff person is expected to start work in April, out of the office of theGreater Summerside Chamber of Commerce.
