Saskatchewan NDP adds 4 new candidates to the ballot

The new candidates were chosen after four candidates were dropped from the ballot because of social media posts last week.

The Saskatchewan NDP have announced four new candidates to run in the upcoming provincial election.

The new candidates were chosen after four candidateswere dropped from the ballot because of social media posts last week.

The new candidates are:

  • Dennel Pickering Saskatoon Northwest:Pickering has been a continuing care aide in the Saskatoon Health Region for 16 years, with experience in long-term care and home care.
  • Gloria PatrickRegina Walsh Acres:Patrick is completing her master degree in social work at the University of Regina and has experience working in the non-profit sector, community developmentand with children in foster care.
  • Tina VuckovicEstevan:Vuckovic works for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority as a procurement specialist, and is a certified personal trainerandnutrition specialist.
  • Karen Wormsbecker Weyburn-Big Muddy:Wormsbecker has a master degreein nursing from the University of Saskatchewan and is a registered nurse who works in public health.

On Saturday, the NDP fired campaign manager Frank Quennell. The party'schief of staff, Linsay Martens, was named the new campaign manager.
