Death of person found at Saskatoon recycling facility not considered suspicious: police

The Saskatoon Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating the circumstances surrounding a body that was found at a Saskatoon recycling facility, but say the death is not considered suspicious.

Saskatoon police say the death of a person found at a recycling facility Friday morning is not considered to be suspicious, but they continue to investigate.

Police said officers were called to a recycling facility on the 1900 block of First Avenue N. at about 10 a.m. CSTafter a body was found, a Friday news release fromthe Saskatoon Police Service said.

That's the block where Loraas Recycle is located.

The police investigation so far suggests the body was taken to the facility in a bin that was to be emptied, the release said.

They believe the person found was a woman, but did not release any further details about the person.

Though the death is not considered suspicious, investigators with the major crimes unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service continue to investigate, police said.
