Undergradsfrom theBhartiSchool of Engineering madeheadlines last yearwhen their both the junior and senior design teamstook first place at the Canadian Engineering Competition in St. John's, NL.
StephaneLabine was on that winning junior team, and is headed to McGillUniversity in Montreal this week as a senior team member.
He told CBC that he learned a lot last year in competition.
"Most teams try to think of something that's going to try to impress the judges and go really complex," he said.
"Depending on how you read the rules, you have to see what matters most ... We built something that was really simple, quickand efficient [and won]."
