Man shot in head near Jane and Finch

A man has been rushed to hospital after being shot in the head in the city's north end.

Paramedicssay they were called to the area of Driftwood Avenue and Yorkwoods Gate near Jane Street and Finch Avenue West shortly after 10 p.m.

They say a 23-year-old man had been shot in the head and was rushed to a nearby trauma centre with serious injuries.

Driftwood Avenue was closed for the investigation but reopened shortly after 11 p.m.
